With a flair for creativity, The Current Salon & Academy is a collective of specialized hair stylists and apprentices working together to bring experienced artistry and integrity to each client in an ever-changing industry through growth, balance and sustainability. Our goal with the brand and website design was to convey not only that The Current is more than just a salon, but that they're making an impact through artistry and education with every touchpoint online and beyond.

BEHIND THE BRAND:

The Current’s logo and aesthetic is heavily influenced by masters of art including Picasso. The main icon of the logo itself is a modern, streamlined representation of his work. With additional brush stroke textures and line art patterns as brand accents and patterns that convey an artist's hand. This expresses that they are not merely hairdressers, but experienced stylists who value artistry.
